Actual: Tuesday closed at 12,569 and Wednesday at 12,626.

Actual: Tuesday closed at 12,569 and Wednesday at 12,626. It is so close to the forecasts! I’ve just been scouring the news a couple of hours before the market opens and trying to get a feel for where it’s going. If this method continues being fairly accurate, I am going to be tempted to start trading more on my own accounts.

Forecast: Everybody’s TENTATIVE. The consensus is inconclusive. The market should open without major up or downward movement: i.e. it should fluctuate between 12,582 + and – 75 points --- until we get some hard data coming in.

As a result, we fall back on our longer term forecasts. They give a band of 11,900 to 12,900, which doesn’t help us much. We need to drill down in order to see if we can anticipate daily movements.

My prediction is that there won’t be any dramatic market movement this week of July 5 – July 8, fluctuating within 75 points of the Friday July Dow close of 12,582.77.
Tuesday morning, Jul 5. Will the Dow run up to 13,000 now?
Friday, July 1 DJIA close 12,582.77 +168.43 +1.36%
